Billionaire Sentenced in Molestation Case

Atlanta (HLN) His name is Curt Johnson.He’s an heir to the SC Johnson family fortune.

His cut is nearly $3 billion.

But now this rich guy is also a convicted child molester who sexually abused his own stepdaughter over a three year period during her early teens.

When Johnson was first charged, it looked like he could get 40 years behind bars.

Instead, he served just three months.

He also had to pay $6,000 in fines as part of his punishment for two misdemeanor charges of 4th-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

He is said to have implicated himself of the crimes by confessing to his therapist. The Arizona treatment center refused to turn over the records which hurt the prosecution’s case.

At his sentencing, Johnson said, “I’d like to apologize to my stepdaughter and my wife… for the tremendous hurt I have caused.”

Johnson’s wife remains by his side.
