5/25/10 – Bridwell/Vedder “Hunger Strike”

The greatest group of the last two decades alongside one of the best current bands in New York City singing a lost classic. We’re talking Pearl Jam with Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses and a killer live rendition of “Hunger Strike.” Eddie and the boys save the old Temple of the Dog cut for special occasions. And this was definitely one of them. Bridwell took Chris Cornell’s upper-octave growl and nailed it. Vedder was his standard brilliant – happy dance included. Bridwell couldn’t contain his excitement at the end… “Pearl Jam’s the best band!” he shouted to the awestruck crowd.
